If you are looking for a puppy from 406 Acres, you’ve come to the right place. 

Tori and her staff treat their dogs with respect, compassion, and as part of the family. Their dogs are kept in clean areas, allowed to play outside, taken for walks around the acreage daily, and lead engaging, interactive lives. This is not a puppy mill environment, more of a pack of happy dogs.

Tori and her staff communicate effortlessly and involve a veterinarian if any of the dogs need medical attention. However, because of their experience and robust breeding programs, this is rarely needed. All dogs are kept up to date on their vaccines and deworming to ensure their health.

All dogs within the breeding program are tested and proven to be free of negative genetic health issues. You can see their testing results on the website. If a dog does not meet or beat the standard for breeding, Tori will spay or neuter it and find a quality pet home instead of keeping it in her breeding program.  
 
Tori and her staff are up front, honest, and will help resolve any issues should one arise. They stand behind the healthy dogs they breed.

Heidi

"Buying a puppy from out of state can be scary, especially when there is no time to meet the puppy and breeder in person, like it was in my case. I met my Heidi "online" on Instagram. All my concerns of not having met the breeder and puppy were gone from first moment I talked to Tori. Tori gave me a very accurate description of Heidi's personality and what I really appreciated, she was very honest about her coat. I picked a puppy with straight hair and Tori explained the advantages and disadvantages of this coat type and warned me of possible shedding. I love the look of the Berner and the straight hair so I don't mind at all possible shedding. I really appreciate her honesty, I knew I found a professional breeder. The whole process of getting my little pup went very well too, Tori is very responsive and always available if I have questions. The best part, Heidi is the most amazing dog i could ask for. She's so sweet and smart. She learned to go to her potty area within two weeks. She brought the tennis ball within two days of getting her and  sleeps by my feet when I go out for dinner. Waiters have complimented her on being the best behaved puppy they have ever seen. If I ever wanted to get a second puppy, I would only go to Tori. I really can't recommend 406 Bernedoodles enough. Milton

​This is our family’s first time having a dog, we were waiting for the right time. We always knew it had to be a “mini” Bernedoodle.  We did our homework for close to 8 months and contacted pretty much all (Bernedoodle) breeders.  It wasn’t until I found 406Bernedoodles that I knew it was the one! We live in Ontario, Canada which in this case, distance did not matter because we knew we had finally found “THE" breeder.  Tori, was amazing from the first phone call and on. She is very friendly, supportive and was always available to be contacted either through phone, texting, skyping and video chat for further information. She is very knowledgeable and experienced, her expertise is apparent. Tori has gone out of her way to make our experience the best, giving us truthful information about our puppy’s qualities such as the size, temperament and coloring still being accurate to date. We know that we can go to her whenever we need a question answered and will continue to do so throughout our puppy’s life. 
Our puppy’s name is Milton, he is a male tri-colored mini Bernedoodle. His demeanor is very calm and layed back but, also can be very playful and energetic. When out on walks, or public places he makes people stop and stare, asking about his breed and breeder. Milton is affectionate, very sociable as he loves being around people and other dogs, but also enjoys his alone time. He has been a breeze to train, understanding and obeying commands easily. He is very low maintenance in regards to training, playing and grooming, while also never barking or jumping up on new people. Ourselves, along with our friends and family would describe him as the best dog ever!

My husband and I fell in love with Bernedoodles after we met one in our building in New York City. We decided to look into getting a Mini Bernedoodle and found Tori via Facebook. I felt comfortable with her right away. We chatted for awhile about mine and my husband's history with dogs and we learned about Tori's ranch in Montana, her high standards when choosing a home and her many years of breeding Bernese Mountain Dogs. She is very compassionate towards animals and wants to make sure her dogs end up with the right family. Tori and I still text message regularly, as I’ll send her pictures and she will check in to see how Cira, my now 4 month old puppy is doing. Cira is the sweetest and most friendly dog! I can barley walk a block without getting bombarded by people who want to pet her and she loves the attention. She likes adults, babies and all dogs and I wouldn’t be surprised if I start seeing more Mini Bernedoodles in my neighborhood from Tori!

We  were fortunate enough to purchase our third Bernese Mountain Dog, Augustus Montagne (Gus) from 406 Berners last year.  Gus is a delightful, loving, healthy dog, who brings joy into our home every day.  His confirmation of a leaner body, and longer legs makes him definitely more athletic , higher energy, and stronger than our previous dogs, which suits us as our lifestyle is outdoors recreating as much as possible.  He is always enthusiastic and ready to go, and the longer the walk in the woods, the happier he is. We have had no indication of health or joint problems, and neutered him at 12 months, which barely slowed him down. Gus has the sweetest personality one could ask for, and is very friendly with both adults and children.  Often times people compliment us on our "beautiful Berner", and ask for a pet.  
Our experience with 406 Berners was entirely positive.  We were crushed when our we lost our 2nd Berner, and Tory was very sensitive and caring.  She offered me the opportunity and choice of timeline in deciding to put a new puppy into our home, and was very knowledgeable and helpful in pairing a puppy to suit us.  She handled the transaction professionally, and paperwork was complete and informative.  Her kennel was exceptionally clean and well suited to good, healthy care of puppies, sires, and dams. 
We would definitely recommend 406 Berners to future owners of Bernese Mountain dogs, and we are grateful for the fun-loving companion we share our lives with, Gus!

Our office manager Breah will be pivoting in a new direction! Her last day as our office manager will be April 16th, 2021. We are sad to see her leave but excited for her future. Below she wrote a brief review of her time working with us and a description of what 406 does well!

Tori’s lack of compromise and experienced decision making when it comes to the well-being and overall health of their dogs and animals is exactly what you want when you are looking to add a new puppy to your life. I often refer to their operation as a boutique breeder, simply because the quality of care for the adult dogs and puppies is at the highest tier.
